Parsippany School District Makes Schedule Change Ahead of Winter Storm
Freezing rain, snow expected overnight into Monday.

Hours before any precipitation was expected to fall, the Parsippany-Troy Hills School District is taking precautions for Monday’s class schedule.
The district called for a 90-minute delayed opening for Monday, making the decision just after 8 p.m. Sunday night.
Freezing rain and snow is expected to fall overnight and into Monday. The National Weather Service issued both a Hazardous Weather Outlook and a Winter Weather Advisory for much of New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania, saying a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain will arrive on Sunday night and Monday morning.

The snow and sleet will change over to rain before it may change back briefly to a snow-and-sleet mixture Monday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow and sleet accumulations are expected to be less than 1 inch, along with a trace of ice.
