Parsippany Students Awarded National Merit Scholarships

Congratulations Rohan Singh Khajuria, Amogh Anakru​, and Nikita M. Shah!

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Three Parsippany residents were awarded National Merit Scholarships. Rohan Singh Khajuria, Amogh Anakru, and Nikita M. Shah were awarded the scholarship for outstanding academic potential.

They are part of the first round of winners in the 62nd annual national Merit Scholarship Program, which awards corporate and foundation sponsored scholarships to over 1,000 high school students.

Khajuria, a student at Parsippany High School, intends to pursue a career in computer science. National Merit ADP Henry Taub Memorial Scholarship sponsored Khajuria's award, which is available to children of ADP employees.

Shah, a student at Morris County School of Technology, plans to pursue a career in medicine. Anakru, a student at Newark Academy, plans to enter science and research. Both of their awards were sponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation's own funds.

To be considered for a scholarship, students had to complete a detailed application, which included an essay, information about extracurricular activities, a school official recommendation and high SAT scores.
