Parsippany-Troy Hills School District 2015-16 Calendar
Here are all the important dates families need to know about for the coming school year.

An earlier than usual start to the 2015-16 school year kicks off the most important family calendar in town, as Parsippany students get back in the classroom on Thursday, Sept. 3.
Patch took a look at the district’s calendar and created this easy-to-use breakdown of the new school year.

- September 3: First Day of School
- September 7: Labor Day, School Closed
- September 14: Rosh Hashanah, School Closed
- September 23: Yom Kippur, School Closed
- October 12: Columbus Day Weekend, Teacher Inservice
- November 3: Professional Development for Teachers, No School
- November 5, 6: NJEA Convention, Schools Closed
- November 25: Early Dismissal
- November 26, 27: Thanksgiving Break, Schools Closed
- December 23: Early Dismissal
- December 24-31: Winter Break, School Closed
- January 1: Winter Break, School Closed
- January 15: Early Dismissal
- January 18: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, School Closed
- February 15, 16: Presidents’ Day Break, School Closed
- March 25: Good Friday, School Closed
- March 28: Delayed Opening
- April 11-15: Spring Break, School Closed
- May 30: Memorial Day, School Closed
- June 7: Schools Closed
- June 23: Early Dismissal, Last Day of School
A total of five emergency closing days have been built in to the calendar. If the district needs to exceed that amount, make-up days will come from the April spring break beginning on Friday, the 15th, and working backward. If not all days are used, additional school closures will be held before or after Memorial Day weekend.
