'Possible Threat' Found At Jefferson Schools, All Dismissed
All middle and high school students and staff were safely dismissed, according to officials.
JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, NJ — Officials dismissed all students and staff Friday from Jefferson Township Middle and High School because of a "possible threat."
Local, county and state law enforcement are investigating the incident. No further details on the threat itself were immediately available.
There is no potential threat to the community at this time, police said in a statement Friday afternoon.

Jefferson Township Public Schools sent an alert at 10:35 a.m. Friday about the potential threat received "a short while ago." Officials put the middle and high school into shelter-in-place as the investigation began.
Elementary school remained in session, but Jefferson Township police will patrol all facilities.

All students and staff from the middle and high school were "safely dismissed" as of 11:40 a.m. Friday.
