Psychiatric Patients, Staff COVID-19 Infections Swell In NJ
Trenton Psychiatric had another death since last week, officials said.

NEW JERSEY - The number of new coronavirus, or COVID-19, positives are growing in psychiatric hospitals around the state according to the New Jersey Department of Health. And so are the deaths.

Across the state, there are 1,247 patients split among several facilities and 167 patients tested positive. In New Jersey there are 428 staff members COVID-19 positive as of Monday. Greystone Psychiatric Hospital in Morris Plains, Parsippany has the highest number of COVID-19 deaths per facility, with five since the outbreak. There have been ten patient deaths across New Jersey in these facilities, according to officials. Trenton Psychiatric Hospital lost another patient over the weekend, and Greystone has half of the deaths in the state with five.

Greystone also has the highest number of patient outbreaks with 107 while Trenton Psychiatric Hospital has the highest number of staff positives at 218.
