Rain Didn't Stop Parsippany From Honoring Veterans

Despite poor weather, Parsippany came out strong for the township's Veterans Day memorial service.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Poor weather didn't stop Parsippany from honoring those who served at the township's Veterans Day memorial service.

Township officials, veterans, religious leaders and various speakers came together for Friday's ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park.

"We can never fully repay our debt of gratitude to the American service members who died in battle or those who were wounded," said Mayor James Barberio. "We can, however, recognize and thank the millions of veterans still living today and let them know that we appreciate them for their service and honor them for their sacrifices."
