With Rainy Forecast, Parsippany Moves Ramadan Celebration To Sunday

Community members are welcome to mark the holy month with a celebration at Town Hall.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — With stormy weather predicted for Saturday, Parsippany-Troy Hills Township has rescheduled the "Welcome Ramadan" community celebration to Sunday.

The time has also moved to 6 p.m., at Town Hall (1001 Parsippany Boulevard, Parsippany NJ).

The monthlong observance of Ramadan is a time of fasting, introspection and prayer observed by 1.8 billion Muslims worldwide. It begins on the morning of Sunday, March 10 and runs through Tuesday, April 9 this year.
