Stamp of Approval: Parsippany Mailman's 31-Year Career Ends
Lake Intervale neighborhood says farewell to Tom McMahon, report says.

For the last 26 years, Tom McMahon has delivered mail to a group of Parsippany residents who’ve become more than Lake Intervale homeowners – they’ve become family.
According to dailyrecord.com, McMahon, who has worked for the United States Postal Service for the last 31 years, will retire after delivering his last letter on Wednesday, Dec. 31. The mailman has watched generations come and go in the very tight-knit community of Lake Intervale.
McMahon still prefers the old-school way of delivering mail, on foot, trekking 13 miles each day to cover his route, the report said. Still in good health, McMahon has decided to call it a career after last winter pushed him over the edge, the report said.
