Summer Jobs Announced For Parsippany Recreation Program: See Details
Residents as young as 15 years old are invited to apply for the summer playground program positions.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Parsippany Recreation Department has officially opened the application process for seasonal employees for its 2026 summer playground program.
The program is scheduled to run from June 29 through Aug. 21. Interested candidates must be at least 15 years old to be considered for employment.
The department is currently prioritizing the recruitment of certified teachers to serve as directors at the playground sites.

Full-time positions are available at the All Day Playground located at Smith Field. Half-day playground positions will also be available at locations, which will be determined at a later date.
Applicants are advised that the township maintains a strict vacation policy for the summer program. All employees are permitted a maximum of five days of vacation time, which must account for all sports, school, or other related commitments.

The department added that employees must be able to work all other days to remain eligible for a position. Prospective employees must ensure they can meet the vacation policy requirements before applying. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the loss of the position.
All applications must be completed and submitted solely by the applicant. The deadline for submitting applications is April 15.
The department noted that it will contact all applicants during the month of May. Officials ask that candidates refrain from reaching out to the department regarding their application status during this period.
