Two Winning Jersey Cash 5 Tickets Sold At The Same Parsippany Quick Chek

This Parsippany store just made two people very rich.

PARSIPPANY, NJ— It's well known that the odds of lightening striking twice are very slim. But what about the odds of two winning lottery tickets being sold at the same store?

For one Morris County convenience store, it was apparently pretty high.

Five tickets split the $1,459,985 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot for the Thursday, Dec. 22 drawing, and two were sold at the same Like Hiawatha Quick Chek.

In the end, each ticket is worth $291,997, officials said.

Winning tickets were sold at the following locations:

  • Essex County: Wine & Spirit Liquor Warehouse, 71-85 First St., Newark
  • Mercer County: Quick Chek #47, 129 Route 31 No., Pennington
  • Morris County: Quick Chek #58, 480 Bevewyck Rd., Lake Hiawatha (two tickets sold at same location)
  • Passaic County: Bonita MiniMarket II, 955 Main Ave., Passaic

The four winning tickets sold for Thursday’s drawing matched all five numbers drawn, lottery officials said.

The winning numbers were: 04, 13, 17, 32 and 43 and the XTRA number was: 03.
The retailers will each receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning tickets. Lottery officials stated that there were 1,272,530 tickets purchased for the Dec. 22 drawing.
