Vehicle Hangs Off Ledge In Parsippany, Driver Rescued
Officials stabilized the vehicle and got the victim out safely.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — A driver found themselves in a precarious situation at the Morris County Conservation Center on Tuesday, with half their vehicle hanging off a ledge. Officials stabilized the car and removed the driver safely.
The Mount Tabor Volunteer Fire Department was alerted of the incident at 11:29 a.m. Tuesday. The front wheels of the vehicle hung over the half-wall, with a drop of about a few feet.
Officials didn't want to remove the victim until the vehicle stabilized, for fear of weight shifting. A veteran front end loader operator was on scene and stabilized the vehicle, allowing the driver to step out safely.
