Victim ID'd After Fatal Crash On Route 80 In Parsippany
The crash took the life of a 29-year-old Lake Hiawatha man.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — State Police identified the driver who died in a head-on crash Saturday morning in Parsippany. The collision took the life of Angelo F. Atienza, 29, of Lake Hiawatha.
The crash occurred at 4 a.m. Saturday on Route 80 milepost 46.2, according to State Trooper Charles Marchan. Based on the preliminary investigation, a Toyota Rav 4 traveled the wrong way down the eastbound lanes, police said.
The Toyota, which Atienza drove, struck an international tractor and semi-trailer moving east, Marchan said. The other driver sustained minor injuries.
