Vietnam Vet, Longtime Parsippany Resident Dies at 67

George Timmerman spent the last 33 years living in Parsippany.

He died recently at age 67, according to his obituary.

Timmerman served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from Sept. 28, 1966 until he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant on Sept. 7, 1968. During his professional career Timmerman was a service technician. He was also a member of St. Christopher Roman Catholic Church in Parsippany.

Timmerman was predeceased by a son, Colin, in 1988. He is survived by his wife, Karen, a son, daughter, and two granddaughters.
