Visiting Sweet Pups at Mt Pleasant Animal Shelter

Warning! If you love animals do not click. The East Hanover Shelter is filled with adorable dogs in need of homes.

Our house is home to some of Parsippany's finest. A rescued dog and an assortment of spoiled cats who came from the town shelter and our backyard are a big part of our family.

We were on Route 10 today-since it is President's Day and school is closed we had time to spare, so stopped at the Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter.

In honor of the holiday, we had a reception worthy of a king from the dogs who were thrilled to meet our acquaintance. There was a puppy as young as 5 months old (the beautiful gray/black dog in the cover photo). There was also a wonderfully calm senior husky whose owner had passed away laying resolutely on her dog bed.

We enjoyed stopping at each cage and wished we could take them all home, but thought by sharing perhaps someone else out there might have room in their home and heart for one more.
