Women's Club Member, Longtime Lake Hiawatha Resident Dies at 89

Rosalie Barbagallo worked in Montville for many years before retiring.

Rosalie Barbagallo spent nearly half her life as a Lake Hiawatha resident, lending her time to the Women’s Club of Parsippany and as a Friend of the Parsippany Library.

The New York native died Saturday, Aug. 2 at the age of 89, according to her obituary.

Barbagallo was married to her husband, Nicholas, in 1953 and settled into Lake Hiawatha. She then moved to Oahu, Hawaii in 1960, but returned to Lake Hiawatha in 1965, where she stayed until 2009.

Barbagallo received her Associates Degree in Business Management and worked as an Office Manager at Nortstadt Inc. in Montville for many years before retiring.

She is survived by a son, daughter, sister and many nieces and nephews.
