WWII Vet, Former Morris County Employee Dies at 94
Joe Riccardi lived in Parsippany for more than 60 years.

Joe Riccardi was an accomplished man who spent more than 60 years living in Parsippany.
Riccardi died on July 2 at Morristown Medical Center at the age of 94.
He was raised in Paterson before moving to Parsippany in 1952. Riccardi had his MBA from Columbia University and served in the United State Air Force during World War II from 1942 to 1944 before being honorably discharged.

In his career, Riccardi was an industrial engineer with McGregor-Doniger Sportswear in Dover, and Manhattan Industries in Glen Rock.
For the last 20 years of his career Riccardi worked in the Morris County Probation Department before retiring in 1992.

Riccardi was a member of the St. Ann’s Social Club, American Institute of Industrial Engineers, and AARP in Parsippany where he was an executive board member and a member of the publicity committee.
Riccardi was predeceased by his wife, Erma, of 60 years, who died on May 23.
