
Henry Hamm served his country admirably for more than three years in the Untied States Navy.
The World War II veteran and longtime Parsippany resident died on Easter Sunday at the age of 89, according to his obituary.
Hamm was born in Jersey City, then lived in North Bergen before settling down for good in Parsippany in 1957. He fought in World War II from July 25, 1942 to Dec. 14, 1945 when he was honorably discharged.

Prior to professional retirement, Hamm worked as a mechanic.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elsa, in 1992.

He is survived by four children, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
