Experts say the slow-moving storm produced more consecutive high-tide floods than any in three decades, with significant impacts felt all along the Jersey Shore and nearby bayside communities.
   

• Smash-and-Grab Robbery at N.J. Mall Jewelry Store Prompts SWAT Response (instoremag.com) — A recent smash-and-grab at a Hackensack mall is part of a wider pattern that has also hit jewelry stores in Perth Amboy and several other New Jersey towns since January. Police say organized crews using sledgehammers and stolen cars are targeting gold as prices soar, and no arrests have been made yet.
