7 Children, 4 Adults Rescued From Sinking Boat In Ocean County: State Police
The boat started taking on water after several large waves came over the bow. None of the adults or children rescued were hurt, police say.
POINT PLEASANT, NJ — State police rescued 11 people from Point Pleasant Canal after several waves dumped water onto their boat, a news release says.
New Jersey State Police troopers on patrol saw the 21-foot Sea Ray boat in trouble on Aug. 14, around 4:24 p.m. The troopers got seven children and four adults onto a police boat and took them to safety.
Police said the boat was taking on water after several large waves came over the bow.

Police said no one reported any injuries, and reminded everyone to wear a personal flotation device when on the water.
