5 Point Pleasant Boro Businesses Charged With Nicotine Sale

Five Point Pleasant Boro businesses were charged recently with the sale of nicotine products to people under the age of 21, according to police.

The charges came after police conducted surveillance on various businesses locations throughout Point Pleasant Boro during the week of March 25, police said.

The surveilance came in response to reports of electronic nicotine catridges and smoking devices being sold to people under the legal age, police said.

Police used an undercover officer in the investigation, too.

Employees were charged at these five busiensses: Anytime Vape at 3209 Route 88; E-Cig Outpost, 3107 Bridge Ave.; Point Pleasant Exxon, 3164 Route 88; Country Farms, 2122 Route 88; and Conoco Gas Station, 700 Route 88.

The police department says it will continue to take an active role in investigating and charging anyone who breaks the law by selling these products to anyone under the age of 21.
