POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — Point Pleasant Beach residents and business owners are invited to a free seminar focused on security that is being hosted by law enforcement.
The Hometown Security Initiative seminar is set for May 13 at 7 p.m. at Jenkinson's Pavilion.
"This free event will cover the current threat landscape and how to recognize and report suspicious activity," Point Pleasant Beach officials said in announcing the seminar.

The topics are the current threat landscape, recognizing and reporting suspicious activity, and the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness Security Initiative.
The seminar, "Preparing for Summer 2026," is being put on by the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness and New Jersey Shield, in collaboration with the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department, the Point Pleasant Beach Office of the Mayor, the Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce.
