The camp is open to Point Pleasant children ages 11 to 13 who are entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade.

The camp is scheduled for July 27-31 plus Aug. 3-5. Campers must be able to attend all days of the camp and perform rigorous physical activities. There is a strict disciplinary policy and time schedule.

There also is a mandatory parent meeting for accepted campers on July 14 at 6 p.m. in the borough hall municipal courtroom.

The number of accepted campers is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to children who have not attended in previous years. Parents or guardians of accepted campers will be contacted by phone to fill out the full application.

The Point Pleasant Police Department will make the final decision on who will attend. Anyone who is not selected for this year's camp may apply for any future camps.

Questions should be directed to Police Officer Jesse Waterson at 732-892-0060, ext. 245 or by email at jwaterson@ptboropd.com.
