• Couple Sentenced For Bizarre Point Pleasant Home Invasion (patch.com) — Point Pleasant residents are learning more about a disturbing 2025 home invasion on Barton Avenue, as a California couple has now been sentenced to seven years in state prison. Prosecutors say the pair kicked in the door, stole items, and one fired a handgun outside before fleeing, with New Jersey's No Early Release Act ensuring they serve most of their term.
   

• E-Bike Rules Set For Point Pleasant High School Students (patch.com) — Point Pleasant Boro High School is rolling out new rules for students who ride e-bikes, including mandatory registration with the district and a $10 fee for a decal. Riders must show proof of permits or licenses, insurance and state registration for faster bikes, wear helmets, and keep e-bikes in pedal mode on school grounds. Violating the rules or traffic laws can mean losing e-bike privileges and facing random drug screening if you hold a parking permit.
