The Woman's Club of Pt. Pleasant - Operation Yellow Ribbon - collecting filled holiday stockings for troops
The Woman's Club will be collecting completed stockings, filled to the top, pinned closed, a note with a full list of the items inside and $2 attached on the outside for each stocking for help with shipping costs.
Operation Yellow Ribbon and Operation Jersey Cares is composed of volunteers.
The Woman's Club will be collecting completed stockings, filled to the top, pinned closed, a note with a full list of the items inside and $2 attached on the outside for each stocking for help with shipping costs. If you wish, a personal note or card could be included inside with the items .
Some food items requested are : 5 hour energy drink products, liquid water enhancers, powdered drink mixes (Crystal Light), coffee, tea, hot chocolate, protein powder, protein bars, dried fruit, jerky, snack packs, cookies, crackers, soup & cereal packets, tear open packs of food (tuna, chicken), breakfast foods, gum, hard & chewy candy, dried snacks, trail mixes, cheese sandwich crackers, peanut butter, nuts, seeds, slim Jims, dried fruit, raisins, salty snacks, chips, pretzels, & popcorn. NO chocolate items - they melt.
Personal items should be of personal size ( NO hotel items) and marked " female", "male", or gender neutral, no aerosol products, no products containing alcohol, & no alcohol. NO shaving cream, NO gels or spray products as they are restricted in most countries. Most female & male personal hygiene products, shampoos, conditioners, moisturizing bath soaps, body washes, lotions, toothpaste, dental floss, cotton swabs, tissues, medicated & regular powder, shower caps, sponges, loofahs, soap, small hand mirrors, manicure kits, emery boards, hair ties, foot powder, deodorant (only sticks are acceptable), sunscreen, hand sanitizers, tissues, lip balm, chap stick, eye drops, Advil, Aleve, Tylenol, Band-Aids, Neosporin, non-alcohol mouth wash, all types of wipes, socks & gloves .
Also, any type of puzzle books, sudoku books, note paper, pens/pencils, coloring books, colored pencils, eye glass lens wipes, sewing kits, repair kits, hacky sacks, & playing cards will be greatly appreciated.
