Girl Scout Cookie Boxes Get a New Look

For the first time in almost 15 years, the iconic Girl Scout cookie boxes have been revamped to showcase Girl Scouts in action, as well as illustrate the five financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills that girls gain from the cookie sale including goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.

“We hear a lot of stories from our Girl Scouts about the cookie sale and what they gain from the experience,” said Sue McClure, chief executive officer, Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore. “These new packages showcase not only what girls can do with their cookie earnings, but also the skills these girls take with them throughout their personal and professional lives. It’s important to know that when you purchase a box of Girl Scout cookies, you’re not just getting a delicious treat; you’re helping our girls become future business leaders and giving them the opportunity to make a difference in our community."

The new package designs capture moments that show the power of girls working together as they engage in activities such as greening a park, volunteering at a soup kitchen and taking on a kayaking challenge. The new boxes defy the conventional understanding of what Girl Scouts do while staying true to the organization's heritage through the inclusion of the trefoil logo and education of the five skills that girls develop through participation in the cookie sale.
