Arthur F. Stueck Of Point Pleasant Dies At 81

Services will be held on Wednesday and Thursday.

Arthur F. Stueck, 81, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016.

Born in Queens, NY on April 16, 1934 to Arthur and Florence Keenan Stueck, he lived in Queens Village and New City, NY. Twenty-eight years ago he moved to Point Pleasant to enjoy the ocean and to raise his sixth child, Keenan Joseph.

Mr. Stueck was a veteran of the United States Army and a graduate of Saint John's University, New York. He was retired from both IBM and Family and Children Services. Art was past president of the Holy Name Society at Sacred Heart Parish, Bay Head. He and his wife were ambulance EMTs, Eucharistic ministers and religious education teachers.


Surviving are his beloved wife of almost sixty years, Rose Ann (Kett) Stueck; and six children, Theresa Stueck Dithmer and husband Erik Sven Dithmer, James Gerard Stueck and wife Janet Morris-Stueck, Arthur Charles Stueck II and wife Cathy Ann Stueck, Rosanne Stueck Tully and husband James Frederick Tully, Matthew Herbert Stueck and wife Rishma Stueck, and Keenan Joseph Stueck and fiancé Shanea Stout; and thirteen grandchildren, Kristin Dithmer Plentus, Melissa Ann Macias, Elsa Rose Dithmer, Julia Beryl Dithmer, Wren Sheridan Stueck, Benjamin William Stueck, Arthur Francis Stueck II, Noelle Elizabeth Stueck, Samuel Joseph Stueck, Kathleen Rose Tully, Shannon Claire Tully, Christine Madeline Tully , and Ivana Marie Ramroop; and two great-grandsons, Connor Erik Plentus and Joseph Sven Macias. Also surviving are his brothers, Clifford and George Stueck; sister, Patricia Rupinen; and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Frank Stueck.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., on Thursday, April 7, at the Church of Saint Martha, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant, followed by interment at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
