Atlantic Infratrac Celebrates National 811 Day

Contact:  Marilyn Grabowski, Managing Member Atlantic InfraTrac LLC, 908-415-1365

Governor Chris Christie poses the question, “Are you stronger then the storm?”  Ocean County based Atlantic InfraTrac answered YES!

Even though Atlantic InfraTrac’s Point Pleasant Beach office was destroyed during Super Storm Sandy, its employees were still out on the streets assisting NJ Utility companies in protecting their underground facilities.

On August 5th, Atlantic followed the governor’s request and took the business to Jenkinson’s Inlet on the boardwalk. Owners Marilyn and Tom Grabowski thanked employees for their efforts and helped raise awareness for National 811 Day (Sunday, August 11).  811 day encourages residents who wish to dig on their property to call the number 811 beforehand in order to have their utility lines marked to avoid potential damages.  The federally mandated “Call before you Dig” 811 number was created to help protect residents from unintentionally hitting their underground utility lines while working on digging projects.

Atlantic InfraTrac introduced a unique way to promote “Call before you Dig."  On August 5th a banner displayed the message “Before you Dig Call 811 to prevent 911” on the back of a plane that flew along the shore in Point Pleasant Beach.  The employees learned the details of this new campaign to further promote the practice of safe digging.
