Back to School: Point Pleasant Beach Schools 2022-23 Calendar

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — Families are getting ready to savor the last weekend of summer, as the 2022-23 school year is nearly upon us. Here are important dates for the school year for students in the Point Pleasant Beach School District.

The first day of school for students in Point Pleasant Beach is Thursday, Sept. 8.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

First Day: Thursday, Sept. 8

Oct. 10: Closed for Columbus Day

Nov. 10-11: Closed for New Jersey teachers convention

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 23 early dismissal, Nov. 24-25, closed

Winter Break: Dec. 23 early dismissal, Dec. 24-Jan. 1 closed

Jan. 16: Closed, Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Feb. 17-20: Closed, Presidents Day weekend

Spring Break: April 7-14

May 26-29: Closed, Memorial Day weekend

June 16: Closed, Juneteenth

Last Day: June 21, tentative.

The district has three days built into the calendar for emergency closures. If more than three days are needed, May 26 will become a full school day. If emergency closure days are not needed, the calendar will be adjusted.
