Back to School: Point Pleasant Schools 2022-23 Calendar

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Families are getting started on their back-to-school planning, and here are important dates for the school year for students in the Point Pleasant School District.

The first day of school for students in Point Pleasant is Tuesday. Sept. 6.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

First Day: Tuesday, Sept. 6

Oct. 10: Schools closed for students, staff in-service day

Oct. 12: Early dismissal for high school students only

Nov. 10-12: Schools closed, teacher convention

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-25 (Early dismissal Nov. 23)

Winter Break: Dec. 24-Jan. 2 (Early dismissal Dec. 23)

Jan. 16: Schools closed, Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Feb. 17-20: Schools closed, Presidents' Day

March 13: Schools closed for students, staff in-service day

Spring Break: April 7-14

May 26-29: Schools closed, Memorial Day

Last Day: June 15

If there is an emergency closing on or before Feb. 16, there will be a full day for students on Friday, Feb. 17. If there is another emergency closing, there will be a partial school day for students on May 26. If there are further emergency closings before Spring Break, a partial school
day would be scheduled for April 7 and then March 13. From there, days will be added to the end of the school year beginning on June 19.
