There will be two categories of judging, pro and garage, and the grand prize has doubled, the Recreation Committee said.
POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — The Point Pleasant Beach Recreation Committee is accepting applications for the second Battle of the Bands.
The contest is set for Saturday, June 10, to coincide with the Point Pleasant Beach Grand Prix, the committee said, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. next to the Band Shell.
There will be two categories for 2023, Pro and Garage (18 and under), and bands will have a 10-minute set to blow away the guest judges and hundreds of potential adoring fans "in town for Boat Race weekend," the committee said.
