Bay Head, Mantoloking Residents Get Inside Look at New Emergency Department
Hirair and Anna Hovnanian Emergency Care Center Serves Jersey Shore Communities
Residents from the Bay Head and Mantoloking communities recently visited Ocean Medical Center for a special tour and intimate gathering with hospital leaders and Ocean Medical Center Foundation trustees to get acquainted with the new Emergency Care Center and its staff.
Guests were impressed with the hotel-like amenities and state-of-the-art features of the Emergency Department. Tours were included as part of the evening and demonstrated the breadth of services available. Ocean Medical Center handles more than 70,000 emergency visits at its main Emergency Department in Brick, and at the Ocean Care Center in Point Pleasant.
“Events like these are the cornerstone for community awareness. Our guests from the evening are now ambassadors for a rapidly spreading message about Ocean Medical Center’s first-rate care,” says Bud Mayo, Ocean Medical Center Foundation Trustee and Bay Point Harbour resident.

The medical center opened the new Emergency Care Center in 2014, which was part of an $82 million Master Facility Plan designed to meet the changing needs of the community. An emergency department unlike any other was at the heart of this initiative.
“We knew this was a rare opportunity to change the face of emergency care,” says Dean Q. Lin, FACHE, president of Ocean Medical Center. “It was more than making a physical transformation. It was about creating an environment of tranquility and comfort when people are at their highest stress levels, and providing a setting that calms you every step of the way.”
