Beach And Surf Report: August 30, 2015
Mostly sunny skies, but moderate rip current risk forecast.

The skies may be mostly sunny, but be vigilant and watch for rip currents if you’re heading to the beach today.
The National Weather Service is calling for temperatures in the lower 80s. Beach winds will be from the southwest at around 10 miles per hour, becoming south later in the day.
Waves will be around three feet, with southeast swells around two feet. The surf temperature is around 75 degrees.

There’s a moderate risk of rip currents, which means wind or wave conditions support stronger or more frequent rip currents. Lifeguards in South Seaside Park and Long Beach Island were busy yesterday with multiple rescues. Always swim in guarded areas and have a flotation device with you.
There is no lightning threat today. The UVI index is a 7, which the National Weather Service considers high.
