Blizzard Closes Point Pleasant Boro Schools For 2nd Day
Driving conditions remain hazardous, authorities have said.
POINT PLEASANT, NJ — The Point Pleasant Borough Schools will be closed on Tuesday due to the lingering effects of the blizzard, the district announced Monday.
The district also canceled the Board of Education meeting that had been scheduled for Monday night.

The district, which closed Jan. 26 due to the effects of the snow and ice storm, has one emergency closure day available. With the two days of closures the district will have an early dismissal school day on May 21, according to the district's 2025-26 calendar.
If there are additional emergency closings, school days will be added to the end of the year beginning June 22, according to the calendar.

The Point Pleasant area had received a foot of snow as of early Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
