The body of a swimmer missing off Point Pleasant Beach has been found, local officials.

The body of a swimmer missing off Point Pleasant Beach has been found, local officials. Zuzana Oravcova, 24, of Slovakia was found Sunday in the area of Ocean Beach and Lavallette, according to Toms River police.
At 11:50 p.m., the Toms River Police Department was notified that a person was seen at the water’s edge in Ocean Beach Unit #2. An off-duty Ocean Beach lifeguard was walking on the beach when he observed something in the waves that were breaking along the shoreline, according to police.
He used his cell phone light to see what it is was, and he realized that it was a deceased person. He notified the Toms River Police Department and Officer Jesse Robertazzi responded, along with other officers and medical personnel, to the shoreline and East Shell Way, according to police.

Emergency personnel then identified Oravcova. An autopsy will be conducted, police said.
Oravcova and Thomas Kadlec, 23, entered the water shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday morning and were quickly overwhelmed by the dangerous surf conditions, according to Point Pleasant Beach police.

She had been working at Jenkinson's Pier on the boardwalk before getting in the water with a friend, police said.
Kadlec managed to swim to shore and immediately notified a boardwalk employee, who reported the incident to police.
Police began the search, assisted by the U.S Coast Guard, the New Jersey State Police Marine Unit, fire and first aid companies from Point Pleasant Beach, Bay Head and Mantoloking. Also, dive teams from Point Pleasant Beach, Point Pleasant, Brick, Brielle and Manasquan and police officers from Bay Head and Mantoloking assisted, police said.
