Details were revealed after a SWAT standoff closed a Point Pleasant Beach street on Monday, and the hours-long incident ended as an unidentified man was taken into custody.
At 10:38 a.m., police responded to the 600 block of Atlantic Avenue to check on the welfare of the unidentified man. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the person who said he was armed with a weapon and did not want to speak with officers, police said.
