CAUGHT: Armed-And-Dangerous NJ Couple Allegedly Had Explosives

A month-long, statewide manhunt has ended for an armed-and-dangerous couple from New Jersey who may have had explosives, police said.

A month-long, statewide manhunt has ended for an armed-and-dangerous couple from New Jersey who may have had explosives, police said.

The New Jersey State Police arrested Nicholas Layton, 39, and Rebecca Wills, 33, both of Mount Holly who were wanted for various weapons and drugs offenses.

Police raided their home last month, they said, and discovered homemade explosives.

After a lengthy investigation, detectives determined that Layton and Wills were staying at a residence in Evesham Township in Burlington County, police.

On Sunday, members of the State Police Fugitive Unit Troop "C" Criminal Investigation Office and K-9 Unit, along with members of the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, located and arrested Layton and Wills, police said.

Detectives seized more than five ounces of methamphetamine, half a kilogram of cocaine and more 2,000 cash, police said.

Layton and Willis were also charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.

Both were also wanted on a charge of possession of homemade explosives, police said.

They were both lodged at the Burlington County Jail pending a detention hearing.
