Day of Service Event - open to the public

Woman's Club of Point Pleasant

DAY OF SERVICE EVENT, Jan.21st - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

The Woman's Club of Point Pleasant will be joining others around the Nation in celebrating the life and works of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by holding a Day of Service Event .

This special working, craft event is being held on Monday, January 21st, from 1:00-5:00 pm at our Clubhouse, 513 St.Louis Ave., Point Pleasant. Mark your calendar! WE NEED YOUR HELP !

This event is open to the public and encourages any community members, children 12 & older with an adult, to come and help us work on service projects that will help others in need. We will be working on several projects, such as capes for kids, no sew fleece blanket kits, birthday bags for Domestic Violence shelters and several others. All materials will be provided. A donation of food items - cereal, peanut butter, canned vegetables, soups, or any other non perishable items for St. Gregory’s Pantry would be appreciated. Come and spend the afternoon or just stay an hour - we need all the help we can get.

As an ongoing project, we are always collecting all types of pull tabs, plastic bottle caps- (all sizes), box tops for education, used cell phones for Domestic Violence victims, used shoes, used postage stamps, towels/linens for animal shelters, & yarn which we use to make hats, scarves & blankets. If you have any, or all, of these items, please feel free to bring them with you to this event. Thank you.
