Delores M. Digney Williams Of Point Pleasant Dies At 86

Mass Of Christian Burial is slated for Monday in Point Pleasant.

Dolores M. Digney Williams, 86, of Point Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015.

The last surviving child of the late Peter and Mary Digney, she was born in Harrison and lived there and also in Kearny. She moved to Point Pleasant in 1961. Dolores retired from Point Pleasant Hospital where she worked for many years in the accounting department.

Surviving are three sons, Robert Williams and his wife Debby of Punta Gorda, FL, Lawrence Williams and his wife Debra of Point Pleasant, and John Williams and his wife Victoria of Lakewood Ranch, FL. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Kelly Reese (Ryan), Courtney Gallo (Richard), Kevin Williams (Maria), Jacklyn May (Steven), Bobby, Kyle, and Nikki Williams; and six great-grandchildren, Baylor, Connor, Jack, Matthew, Brayden, and Logan.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the Church of Saint Martha, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. There will be no visitation and those attending may meet directly at the church.

Everybody who knew Dolores “Nan” knew her love of children. Her greatest joy was holding her great-grandchildren.
