Diane Helene Barth Of Point Pleasant Beach Dies At 78

Diane Helene Barth of Point Pleasant Beach passed away peacefully May 8 at Care One in Wall, NJ.

Diane was born October 21, 1936 in North Bergen, NJ to Peter and Helen LePain Barth. As a child she was a Powers model in New York City and enjoyed tap dancing and ballet growing up in Bloomfield, NJ.

She graduated from Lacordaire Academy in Upper Montclair, NJ. She attended Seton Hall University majoring in nursing and graduated with a bachelor of science degree in nursing education. After college she worked as a nurse in Overlook Medical Center, Summit, NJ. She later became a nursing instructor with the state of New Jersey where she eventually retired.

She loved spending time traveling and time at the beach. Diane is survived by her brother Ronald Barth and his wife Carol of Concord, NH and her nieces and nephews Kenneth (Barbara), Joann, Linda (Roch), Patricia (Don) and Robert (Brenda). A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Van Hise & Callagan Funeral Home, 812 Arnold Ave., Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Sacred Heart RC Church, Bay Head, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Sea Girt, NJ.
