Kiwanis Club has volunteer opp hub online, needs face shield supplies and hosting Volunteer Open House March 30th

The Kiwanis Club of Point Pleasant is rounding up volunteer opportunities for the community. To view current needs and find out how you can help visit https://www.pointpleasantkiwanis.org/recovery

The club is looking for supplies to make face shields for health workers. Donations can be picked up, or you can purchase and ship supplies to us.

What We Need
Here are the supplies needed:
Vinyl sheeting rolls: Preferably 16 to 20 gauge clear vinyl on a roll. Any brand will do. Sample.
Double-sided mounting tape: The stronger the better. Sample.
Polyurethane foam: 1” strips or a roll. Air conditioning or sealant strips work too. Sample. Sample 2.
Braided elastic: At least 3 /8 to 1/2” thick. We can also take scraps! Sample.
Large storage bags: These will be used to package up raw materials so volunteers can assemble bags. They will put the finished masks inside of the bags for donation. Sizes can vary, but around 5 gallons and up is ideal—need to have a zipper. Sample. Sample 2.
