Fire Hydrant Flushing Set To Begin In Point Pleasant Beach

The flushing is part of regular maintenance of the water system.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — The Point Pleasant Beach Water Department will be flushing the borough's water distribution system.

The flushing is part of regular maintenance and the "continuing effort to deliver the best quality water possible," the water department said.

Flushing is set to begin Monday, Oct. 16 and continue through Friday, Nov. 10, and will be done weekdays only between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Residents may experience temporary low pressure or discoloration during the flushing period.

"We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation," the water department said.
