Firefighters Battle Small Blaze In Point Pleasant Beach

Firefighters had to battle a small fire in Point Pleasant Beach this week.

The incident happened on Tuesday at 12:47 p.m. when the Ocean Fire Co. was dispatched for a possible structure fire, authorities said.

Patrols arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the front door. Firefighters found a kitchen fire that had been knocked down by the resident.

Point Beach units continued to overhaul the area and extinguish the hot spots.

No injuries were reported.
