Flooding Closing Roads In Point Pleasant, Bay Head
Ocean County is under a coastal flood warning as the winter storm moves through the area.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Coastal flooding is causing street closures in Bay Head and Point Pleasant as a winter storm moves into the area.
Bridge Avenue is closed in Bay Head due to flooding and will be closed all day, the Ocean County Sheriff's Department said in an alert. Motorists should avoid the area.
In Point Pleasant, flooding is making the roads in the Bayhead Shores section impassable, Point Pleasant police said in an alert.

Do not drive through flood waters, police said. You and the vehicle can be quickly swept away. Six inches of water will reach the bottom of most passenger cars causing loss of control and possible stalling, and a foot of water will be enough to cause many vehicles to float, authorities have said.
Rain, strong winds and continued flooding are expected throughout the day and into the evening Friday, the National Weather Service forecast said.
