Football: Point Pleasant Beach, Point Pleasant Boro Open With Wins
Garnet Gulls rally; Panthers win easily
The Shore Conference high school football season kicked off in full force Friday night, and Point Pleasant Beach and Point Pleasant Boro both opened on a positive note, according to the Shore Sports Network.
Point Beach rallied for a 15-12 victory over Asbury Park in Shore Conference Class B Central, with senior quarterback Jake Fioretti scoring the winning touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Point Boro defeated Pinelands 17-6, with Gene Franceschini and Nate Husak each scoring Panther touchdowns.
