Football: Point Pleasant Beach Rallies to Beat Spotswood
A late touchdown, and a last-seconds interception give the Garnet Gulls the win

Point Pleasant Beach’s offense did its job, giving the Garnet Gulls the lead late in the game.
Kent Napoliello made sure it stayed that way, intercepting a pass in the last minute to secure the Gulls’ 9-6 nonconference football victory over Spotswood, according to the Shore Sports Network.
Sean Gould kicked a 23-yard field goal in the first quarter to put Point Beach ahead 3-0, but Spotswood put up a touchdown early in the fourth quarter to take the lead.

With just over a minute to go, Jake Fioretti connected with Joe Wegrzyniak for a 5-yard touchdown that put the Garnet Gulls (3-1) ahead.
Point Beach travels to Dunellen for a 7 p.m. game next Friday.
