Get Inspired At Earth Day Celebration In Point Pleasant

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — If you're looking for inspiration for your spring and summer gardening projects, or for ways you can do more to help the environment, the Point Pleasant Earth Day Celebration promises a cornucopia of fun.

The Earth Day Celebration is set for noon to 4 p.m. on April 22 at Riverfront Park on River Road.

There will be music, food and activities, a petting zoo for the kids, rides and educational displays with environmentally friendly products and ideas.

The Point Pleasant Garden Club, which is planting the Pollinator Garden at the west end of the parking lot at the Municipal Complex and police department, will have a table with information on how to join along with additional events the club has planned. Coming in May there is a trip to Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania, and a plant and seed swap, where you can bring seedlings or plants and swap with others for plants that interest you.

The Earth Day Celebration is hosted by the Point Pleasant Environmental Commission.

The rain date is April 23.
