Haunts in the Park is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 26 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.
"Join us for an evening of spooks and scares as the core of our beautiful park is transformed into the stuff of nightmares," the Recreation Department description says. "Hold back screams as you are guided along a twisted, gnarled path with horrors around every corner. It's like a haunted house without the comforts of home. This is not recommended for small children."
There will be a "not-so-scary" walk for younger children available from 5 p.m.-6 p.m., and a family Halloween dance party with a DJ playing Halloween music for those who want to skip the scare walk altogether.
Tickets are $2 per person for those 5 years old and older, and $6 for all who enter the Haunts from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. The last ticket will be sold at 8:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the recreation center, 1001 River Ave., Point Pleasant, Monday through Friday through Oct. 25, from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. All ticket sales are cash or check only.
The rain date is Friday, Oct. 27.
