Halloween Trick-Or-Treat Hours, Curfew In Point Pleasant, Point Beach
Curfews around Halloween are in effect in Point Pleasant and Point Pleasant Beach. Here's what you need to know.
POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Halloween brings with it talk of ghouls and goblins ... and of the fun of trick-or-treating and Mischief Night.
Point Pleasant Borough and Point Pleasant Beach both have curfews for minors for the days around Halloween.
In Point Pleasant, the curfew is 9 p.m. curfew for those under age 17, unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. The curfew ends Wednesday.

In Point Pleasant Beach, children under 18 are not permitted to be on the streets from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian, or coming to or from school, work, organized sports or a religious function. The curfew ends Wednesday.
Trick-or-treating is on Halloween from about 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. (Some confusion arises because neighboring Toms River holds its trick-or-treating on Oct. 30 to avoid conflict with the Toms River Fire Company 1 Halloween Parade, which is held on Halloween.)

Parents and guardians are reminded of these safety tips:
- Accompany young children in the neighborhood and identify your surroundings.
- Teach your children to look both ways before crossing the street.
- Only approach homes that have a porch light on.
- Never enter a stranger's home or a vehicle for any treats.
- Stay on sidewalks.
Parents are reminded to check their children's candy for foreign substances and choking hazards.
