Haunts In The Park Bringing Halloween Fun To Point Pleasant
The haunted trail will offer a children's hour with less-scary features for youngsters. Tickets are on sale.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Get ready to get your scare on: tickets are now on sale for the Haunts in the Park event at Community Park.
The haunted trails will welcome visitors young and old from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, Point Pleasant officials said. The rain date will be Oct. 28.
The trails include a "G-rated" low-key hour, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. for young children and those who don't like the full-on scary effects.

At 6 p.m., the trails come to life with all kinds of ghouls and goblins, organizers say.
"Enter our haunted trail through the twisted, gnarled old trees that provide shelter for those waiting for you," the event flyer says. "Watch your backs as well as your front and sides because you never know which way the scares may come from!"

In addition to the haunted trail there is a DJ scheduled to play Halloween music to keep people entertained.
Tickets are $2 per person for the G-rated walk from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., and $5 per person for those age 5 or older for the live-scare walk that starts at 6 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased ahead of time from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (except Columbus Day) at the Point Pleasant Recreation Center on River Avenue. Cash or check only, officials said.
Tickets also can be purchased at Community Park at Haunts in the Park, cash only, and ticket sales will end at 8:45 p.m.
