Hydrant Flushing In Point Pleasant Boro

The water department of Point Pleasant Boro has begun its routine flushing of water mains.

The flushing began on Monday, April 1 and will continue for approximately another five weeks.

The operation will take place Monday through Friday afrom 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Residents can expect discolored water during this time.

The discoloration will clear up as the flushing moves out of your area.

Please refrain from washing clothes until your water runs clear.

This operaton allows an opportunity to check the function of all of the borough's fire hydrants, and it's necessary to flush out the water mains in order to provide the best quality water, officials said.
